DESCRIPTION:
EPW - Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, 48mm, stainless steel OF original Vacheron & Constantin case, silvered dial with applied gold numerals, SW-SS, lever escapement, 15J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#417364. A scarce piece, only a small fraction of Vacheron & Constantin pocket watch production of this era was in stainless steel casing.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches with the most notable being a fine scratch to lower-right perimeter of barrel bridge; dial with very short scratch immediately left of center, few mild fine scratches and some scattered mild spotting elsewhere, darkening and scrape under bezel; excellent hands; case shows light wear, rear with some fine scratches, rear with ultra-fine scratch striations from past polishing, few very mild small dings to rear evident as ripples of reflection, few small nicks to band; tight bow, gold-filled crown shows little wear; good glass crystal.
